Its been ages since I posted here; a really busy autumn and winter so far! As well as teaching/running the studio and making a few more pieces at the end of last year, I’ve been looking at new studios. Beaverhall studios will be demolished this year, and so all the residents are gradually moving on. We finally found a new place early in January, and once all the paperwork is in place I’ll share the details! Its going to be an exciting move and will offer a lot of potential for a variety of projects. At the moment I’m not making any pieces, but instead working in the sketchbook and loosely planning out new ideas. (Not to mention delving through boxes of various things stored in the studio in an attempt to clear the clutter!) Its been interesting looking through numerous objects, sketchbooks, notebooks and older pieces that I’ve accumulated over the years. Deciding what is important, what isn’t, and why can be challenging….its got me thinking a lot about the value we place on objects, the personal significance of them and the memories they can trigger.

I’ve got a lot of older work in the studio at the moment, like these pieces, and so there is less to move I’ll be having a studio sale along with Chris.
