New year plans and exhibitions

  • by

Not sure how it to got to March already, but here we are! This year I’ve been working on some more test pieces (pics of those to follow) and planning out in more detail how my project will develop over the next few months. I’m going to focus also on applying to new galleries and shows, which I’ve been getting underway in recent weeks. As last year was fairly hectic and stressful in places, with the studio move and unexpected major family events to deal with, my own work took a bit of a back seat. This year however, I will be bringing the focus back on my practice. Its been very busy with teaching the last couple of months, but with a little management of the schedule I’ll be making sure there is time for my work.

Our new kiln has arrived! And is firing beautifully. So this now means we can process more work in the studio including our own. Other studio related news is that we will be hosting an exhibition of my work and Chris’s at our studio as part of the Edinburgh Fringe in August! Very exciting…more details to follow once its live.

A couple of recent shows I will be taking part in are at the Cupola Gallery in Sheffield: https://www.cupolagallery.com/events/2024/4/27/miniatures-revisited-mixed-group-show with some of my new tiny pieces.

Also I’ll be exhibiting this vase in this group show in Suffolk – https://www.foxyardstudio.co.uk/ultra-modern

I’m getting some photos taken soon of my recent pieces, so once they are done I’ll post them up 🙂
